A leading healthcare provider in Portsmouth is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining blood samples and ensuring proper patient care. This part-time position requires qualified individuals with relevant healthcare experience and the ability to adhere to strict protocols in a supportive environment.
The Drayton Surgery is looking for an experienced and qualified Phlebotomist to join it's friendly team in North Portsmouth.
Working under the direct supervision of the GP Partners and Nurse Manager, and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients for both routine and urgent bloods as part of on-going health surveillance and maintenance.
This position is for 15 hours per week, Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings starting from 07.30 each day. We respectfully ask that if you are unable to work these set times, please do not apply.

The Drayton Surgery has a broad patient demographic of circa 24,000 patients across 2 sites; 1 partner-owned purpose built building in Drayton, and 1 rented branch surgery in Cosham. We are well established within the Portsmouth North PCN with both the Clinical Director and Business Manager making up part of our team.
We are a group of 6 partners, 8 salaried GPs, 1 retained GP, 10 Nurse Practitioners seeing on the day patients, 8 General Practice Nurses and 6 HCAs, involved in the care of chronic diseases. On top of that we have a dedicated Prescribing team including Clinical Pharmacists.
Working under the direct supervision of the GP Partners and Nurse Manager, and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP or nurse practitioner.
