Job summary

Kent LMC in Dartford is seeking a motivated phlebotomist to join our busy practice as part of a Nursing Team. You will process and manage laboratory samples and support stock control for surgical equipment and vaccines, with supervision as needed.

Previous GP practice experience is advantageous, and you will develop skills to provide high-quality patient care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills and GP practice experience preferred.
• Able to work under supervision and independently as required.
• Good patient-care and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses.
• Stock rotation and restocking of surgical equipment and vaccines.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic phlebotomist to join our busy practice based in Dartford. The post holder will be working as part of a Nursing Team, providing high quality nursing care to patients. Previous experience in working in general practice would be an advantage.

The role is for 24 hours per week (7.30am – 1.30pm) on the following days:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be providing support and undertake agreed duties under the supervision of the Registered Nurses, in addition have the ability to work independently. There will be support for you to develop and acquire valuable skills which will enable you to provide excellent care to patients.

• Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
• Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
• Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
