Location and Contract Details

Location: Timber Quay Building - Unit 5100 -114 Strand Road, Derry, BT48 7NR.

Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent.

Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week, alternating between a Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern. Working hours are as follows:

  • 7.40am - 4.20pm on Monday and Saturday
  • 6.40am - 3.20pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Note: As you may be in contact with live blood samples, vaccination against Hepatitis B or the ability to get vaccinated following a successful interview is required. An enhanced Access NI check will be conducted in line with Care Quality Commission guidelines.

Role Responsibilities

This role involves ensuring customers have an excellent experience from entry to exit, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
  • Demonstrating sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
  • Maintaining accurate records in PIS, uploading relevant documentation.
  • Representing the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
  • Engaging in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
  • Proactively driving sales and exceeding targets.
  • Completing company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
  • Demonstrating high IT literacy to manage various software systems and daily tasks.
Candidate Requirements

Essential criteria:

  • Previous phlebotomy experience
  • Phlebotomy certificate of competence
  • Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Exemplary customer service skills and experience
  • Ability to manage existing and new clientele
  • High IT literacy
  • Valid UK driving license

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience in private healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages
  • Confidence and experience at internal/external events
  • Sales/Retail experience
