Job description

The Relief Phlebotomist role involves travelling to stores within a region, up to 60 minutes from the base store, with travel expenses covered by Boots.

Requirements:

• Full driving licence and access to a car are necessary for supporting other stores.
• Minimum of 12 months practical experience as a Phlebotomist (consideration for less experienced applicants with full training).

Compensation: £12.36 per hour, up to £13.53 in certain London locations.

Main duties include:

• Welcoming participants, verifying details, explaining procedures, and conducting measurements.
• Managing clerical tasks such as appointment bookings and stock management.
• Taking and maintaining venous blood samples.
• Supporting healthcare counter services and providing advice on healthcare products.
• Opportunity to complete NVQ2 Healthcare training.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience as a Phlebotomist (preferred but not essential with training provided).
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and independently.
• Empathy, approachability, digital savviness, and passion for healthcare and customer care.
• Flexibility to work weekends.
