Job summary

St Richard's Hospice in Worcester is seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to lead a new high-value donor programme. The role focuses on cultivating and stewarding major gifts from high-net-worth individuals, driving income generation for hospice care.

You will work with the Director of Business and Income Generation to deliver a strategic plan, identify partners, and integrate donor involvement across the organisation. A proactive, networking mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in major donor fundraising and relationship fundraising.
• Proven success securing gifts of £2,000+.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strategic, proactive and results-focused approach.
• Experience developing and managing donor pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a high-value donor fundraising programme.
• Identifying, researching and cultivating prospective major donors.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with supporters capable of making significant gifts.
• Creating bespoke proposals and stewardship plans that inspire transformational giving.
• Working with trustees and senior staff to open doors and strengthen donor engagement.
• Planning and hosting exclusive cultivation and stewardship events.
