Job summary

University of Glasgow is inviting applications for a Doctoral Researcher in Central & East European Studies as part of the Horizon Europe MSCA Doctoral Network INFLUENCE. The researcher will conduct independent and collaborative doctoral research, engage in mobility, and contribute to outputs and publications.

The project focuses on Russia’s influence strategies in Europe’s Eastern periphery and includes international training, secondments, and dissemination activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Politics/International Relations/Area Studies or related field.
• Knowledge of contemporary political, economic, and social developments in CE Europe.
• Eligibility to enrol in a PhD programme at the University of Glasgow.
• Desirable: knowledge of Russian, Eurasian languages, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality doctoral research related to the approved project.
• Contribute to project outputs, publications, and policy briefs.
• Present findings at national and international events and workshops.
• Undertake international mobility and secondments as required.
• Collaborate with supervisors, partners and stakeholders.
• Complete a doctoral thesis within the project duration.
