Qualifications

• Strong degree in microbiology or related field.
• Interest in AMR, plasmid biology and phage biology.
• Willingness to develop lab skills and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and carry out experiments in molecular and evolutionary microbiology.
• Investigate bacterial defence systems and AMR plasmid interactions.
• Study mechanisms of lethal zygosis and its breadth across strains.
• Perform bacterial genetics and maintain culture collections.
• Analyse data and present findings through reports and presentations.
