Job summary

The University of Manchester in the Chemical Engineering department invites applications for a 3.5-year PhD Studentship: Utilisation of CO2 for Subsurface Energy Extraction. Qualifications

  • A 3.5-year PhD project in subsurface energy extraction.
  • Knowledge of computer programming is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop computational frameworks to assess CO2 utilisation for geothermal energy.
  • Investigate techniques such as CO2-Plume-Geothermal, CO2 brine geothermal, and CO2 Allam Cycle for energy efficiency and techno-economic analysis.
