City St George’s, University of London invites applications for a Doctoral Candidate position within the MSCA HeatMinds network. The PhD will pursue the project “Expanding the Operating Envelope of Positive Displacement Compressors” and address high-temperature heat pump performance, with international collaboration.

The successful candidate will develop and validate compressor models, analyze performance, and contribute to publications, conferences, and dissemination activities across Europe.

Qualificações

• First degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Thermofluids, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
• Experience in modelling, simulation or data analysis desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and validate compressor models for high-temperature heat pump systems.
• Analyse performance and optimisation strategies for industrial heat pumps.
• Contribute to project deliverables and publications; present at conferences.
