We’re seeking an experienced, forward-thinking pharmacist to lead workforce transformation at the Royal London Hospital, supporting strategic workforce planning across Barts Health and the wider Integrated Care System (ICS).
As Pharmacy Training and Workforce Development Lead, you will shape the future of pharmacy education, training, and career development. You will lead the delivery of a workforce vision aligned with national priorities such as the NHS People Plan, working with partners including NHSE, universities, ICS colleagues, and regulatory bodies to develop a modern, flexible, and patient-centred pharmacy workforce.
We are looking for a GPhC-registered pharmacist with senior leadership experience in workforce development, strategic thinking, and a passion for developing others. You will be supported by a team with access to professional development and mentoring.

The post holder will provide professional leadership and expert advice to ensure the pharmacy department delivers a safe, efficient, and standardised service that meets patient and stakeholder needs. You will collaborate with key stakeholders within Barts Health, the North-East London ICS, Higher Education Institutions, and other organisations to develop and deliver a strategy for pharmacy workforce transformation aligned with the NHS Ten-year Plan, NHS People Plan, and the Trust’s strategies.
You will oversee and ensure the delivery of pharmacy staff training, development, and transformation, implementing and evaluating development frameworks for all pharmacy team members.
