About The Role

As a key member of the Medicines Supply Chain team, you will:

  1. Lead and manage the pharmacy dispensary team, ensuring staff are trained, competent, and supported.
  2. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and maintain compliance.
  3. Monitor and exceed key performance indicators, ensuring optimal resource use.
  4. Enhance service delivery by engaging with service users and adapting the dispensing service to meet their needs.
  5. Support innovations in Medicines Optimisation and Efficient Medicines Supply Systems.
  6. Reduce medicines waste, cut costs, increase efficiency, and improve service for patients and staff.

Applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and hold a recognised final accuracy checking qualification and the HNC Pharmacy Services Development and Management qualification, or equivalent. Alternatively, experienced pharmacy technicians without these qualifications may apply; they will be employed as Band 5 until qualification is achieved, then promoted to Band 6.

Hours are 37 per week with flexible and part-time options considered. The role may be offered as a 12-month secondment.
