Apricus Resourcing are working with an award winning, independent healthcare supplier who are looking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician for an ongoing contract role within one of the prisons they operate in Humber, Yorkshire. The role is based with a client who deliver a range of healthcare services on behalf of the NHS, Local Authority Public Health services, and other partners.
Within your role you will be working within a busy medicines management department helping with reconciliation tasks & liaising with Primary Care and General Practitioners to optimise patients care. You will also have a senior responsibility for Controlled drug stock control and management.
Your main duties within the role will include supporting the chief pharmacist in supporting in the medicines management team & leasing with other healthcare professionals both internally and externally. You will also assist in the delivery of training to prison health care staff and GPs, to ensure that medicine optimisation services provided to patients are of a consistently high standard across the organisation

In order to be considered for the role you will need to have an BTEC or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences along with an appropriate accredited technician checking qualification. Other key desirables are a knowledge and passion for pharmacy legal requirements and controlled drug legislation & substance misuse knowledge & at least 2 years experience of working with a prison or hospital setting. You will ideally need prison clearance for this role.
The working hours for the shifts are 07:3020:30 37.5 hrs per week
