This is a permanent, full-time position of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
North West Locality Glasgow City HSCP:
Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated technician to join the NHSGGC Pharmacy Team, focusing on prescribing initiatives and prescription management.
As part of the Prescribing Team, your role will be vital in promoting cost-effective, evidence-based prescribing within GP practices and Care Homes across NHS GGC. You will collaborate with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to enhance medicines management and patient care, including delivering pharmacotherapy services as part of the GP contract.
This position requires excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and IT skills, along with the ability to influence change. Experience in Primary Care or multidisciplinary team settings is desirable.
You will coordinate data collection, input and analyze data, update clinical records, and support quality medication reviews. You will also discuss medication use with patients over the phone.
