Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the pharmacist in accordance with state and federal regulations, under direct supervision, in pharmacy practice and other pharmacy department duties.
• Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other technicians and cashiers in system operation.
• Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients, assisting with products and services, and developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Supporting pharmacy operations under supervision, including data entry, prescription filling, verification, and workflow management.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to quality and dispensing policies.
• Handling sales transactions, customer assistance, and clerical duties, including third-party claims processing.
• Supporting inventory management, clinical services, and community outreach efforts.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification; earning certification as a condition for promotion.
• Participating in training, acquiring continuing education credits, and staying updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (excluding Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
