Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Methodist Hospital Southlake
Merrillville, Indiana

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician at Methodist Hospital Southlake, you'll assist in various inpatient pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your duties include interpreting, entering, preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications, maintaining excellent customer service with patients at the counter and via telephone, assisting with purchasing medications, and restocking pharmacy shelves. You will perform these tasks under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures, guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You are responsible for accurately completing daily activities and ensuring task completion.

Schedule: This position provides time off coverage "as needed" with a minimum of 4 hours per month. You may also be scheduled to work at the Northlake campus in Gary based on business needs.

Starting Pay: $15 - $17 per hour, depending on related work experience.

About the Facility: Methodist is a not-for-profit, community-based healthcare system with two campuses: Northlake in Gary and Southlake in Merrillville. The combined bed capacity is over 625, with outpatient facilities and the latest technology, making it a leading healthcare provider in the region. Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
• IN Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Hospital Requirements (may be required):

• Negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• Immunity proof for MMR, Varicella, HepB, and COVID vaccines
• Influenza vaccination between Oct 1st and April 30th
