Job summary

Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to coordinate Medicines Hub activities across Amble, Broomhill, Widdrington and Rothbury Surgeries. The role focuses on medicines management, discharge changes, and online prescription services, supporting safe patient care.

You will work with Clinical Pharmacists and senior staff within NPC to ensure high-quality service delivery and contribute to ongoing development of pharmacy services.

Qualifications

• BTEC in pharmaceutical science or NVQ Level 3 supported by appropriate underpinning knowledge e.g. national certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent qualification
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
• An appropriate accredited technician checking qualification
• To hold CPPE PCPEP qualification. If not held will need to be complete within 24 months

Responsibilities

• Previous relevant experience working in Pharmacy
• Experience of working in primary care, or with primary care teams
• Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance requirements in relation to prescribing and primary care
• It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role

Education
