Pharmacy Technician - Prison Services

Are you a prison-cleared Pharmacy Technician looking to make a difference within secure services? Belmont Recruitment is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join the team at a prison in Durham.

About the Role:

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services to prisoners. From managing medication administration to providing expert advice, you'll support the health and well-being of individuals in a unique and challenging environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assisting with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions in line with prison guidelines.
  2. Conducting medicines optimisation and providing advice to prisoners and colleagues.
  3. Managing stock levels and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.
  4. Supporting healthcare staff with medication reviews and clinical audits.
  5. Delivering patient-centred care to promote better health outcomes.

What You'll Need:
  1. Prison clearance (essential - CTC or equivalent).
  2. Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
  3. Previous experience working within a secure or prison environment (preferred).
  4. Strong understanding of medicines management and controlled drug protocols.
