Job description

Overview

The Pharmacy Technician - Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) will be a member of the pharmacy ePMA implementation team, utilising specialist pharmaceutical knowledge, IT and leadership skills to support healthcare staff across different specialities during a period of significant change in moving away from paper-based medicines management processes to digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral member of the Pharmacy Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) team that will implement a new ePMA system in the Health Board.
• Support the ongoing configuration, implementation and optimisation of the ePMA system.
• Deliver training and provide support to pharmacy and multi-disciplinary clinical staff during the implementation phase to ensure the safe and effective use of the ePMA system.
• Liaise directly with ePMA end users on queries such as system training requirements and troubleshooting.
• Act as a role model for pharmacy staff on all ePMA related activities.
