The Medway NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Pharmacy Procurement Manager to assist in overseeing the procurement of medicines and supplies. Ideal candidates will have NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with excellent stock control knowledge and experience in hospital pharmacy. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Assist Pharmacy Procurement Manager in overseeing the purchasing of medicines through the JAC ordering system.
To assist in the purchasing of supplies of medicines, equipment and resources
To help the Pharmacy Procurement Manager to ensure orders are placed in an efficient manner in accordance with departmental and Trust financial procedures.
Ensure that the quantities ordered are in line with clinical need and our overall minimum stock turnover target of 12 times per year.
Discuss with our suppliers any supply problems and bring them to the attention of the appropriate clinical pharmacy staff.
Assist the Pharmacy Procurement Manager in ensuring compliance with South East Regional contracts and local buying agreements
To assist the Pharmacy Procurement Manager in updating the JAC and EDI system (Medecator) with new contract information supplied via CMU.
