Job description

City Health Care Partnership Primary Care Service has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate colleague to work within our pharmacy team in Primary Care.

Position Overview

Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Relevant post-qualification experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
Role Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a pharmacist to carry out daily activities related to the supply of medicines in a primary care setting
  • Assist the Senior Technician with roles such as medicines reconciliation, answering medication queries, supporting patients in managing their medication, conducting medicines management audits, and ensuring standard operating procedures are in place for medicine handling
  • Provide advice to patients on medicines and general health and lifestyle matters
  • Ensure delivery of patient-focused pharmacy services in accordance with GPhC Codes of Conduct, NHS regulations, SOPs, policies, and statutory requirements
  • Represent the organisation at local, regional, and national training groups as required
  • Work flexibly to meet service needs
