Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Walsall is recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role develops the skills to become a registered Pharmacy Technician and progresses within the pharmacy environment.

The apprenticeship provides Level 3 Pharmacy Technician training (Integrated) with blended learning and the potential for full-time employment on successful completion. You will work under pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe medicines supply.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• If Maths/English Level 2 is missing, tests will determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines, referring to healthcare professionals as needed
• Supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations including stock control and governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing and responding to feedback

Brief Description

WS1 3HG We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Skills Required

• Previous experience in the pharmacy industry or similar.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. Key responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person-centered advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification

• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level)
• On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
