Skills4Group in Luton is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Training provided is Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship with blended learning. On completion, you may register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and pursue a full-time role.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C (4-9) in Maths and English preferred
• Maths/English Level 2 may be provided via course
• Demonstrated interest in pharmacy and healthcare required
• Good communication and customer service skills are essential

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive and supply medicines and products safely and accurately
• Provide person-centred advice to patients on prescription and OTC medicines
• Support day-to-day running of the pharmacy including stock control
• Supervise and support junior staff as you progress in the role
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff
• Maintain high standards through auditing and feedback processes

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

About the role:

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance

Apprenticeship & qualification:

• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level)
• On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
