Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to support pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team. You will combine practical workplace experience with formal study to become a qualified pharmacy technician.

The role involves preparing and dispensing medicines, maintaining records, ordering stock, and advising patients. You will follow professional standards, maintain patient confidentiality, and work as part of a healthcare team.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• Applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications will be offered employment on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and the pharmacy team in providing safe, effective patient care.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medicines and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Order, receive and manage stock to ensure availability of medicines.
• Provide advice to patients within the scope of the apprentice role, while maintaining confidentiality.
• Follow legal and professional standards and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Job description

A Pharmacy Technician Apprentice supports pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team in providing safe and effective care to patients. The role involves preparing and dispensing medicines, maintaining accurate records, ordering and managing stock, and providing advice to patients within the scope of the role. As an apprentice, you combine practical workplace experience with formal study to develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required to become a qualified pharmacy technician. The role also involves following legal and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality, and working effectively as part of a healthcare team. Working Week 40 Hrs per week. Monday to Friday 9am -6pm closed for lunch 12-1pm everyday. Closed weekends
