A growing private pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the supply of CMBP. The role involves working closely with Clinical Pharmacists to ensure patient access to medications, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess excellent communication skills.
Role description
Working as a Pharmacy technician supporting the supply of CMBP in a specialist Private pharmacy. This is a niche role in a growing area. The successful candidate will be working alongside specialist Clinical Pharmacists to make CMBP more accessible for all patients.
Annual Salary £37,500 to £40,000 PA Pro-rata
Responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:
Receiving and validating prescriptions ready for a clinical check.
Ordering CMBP in accordance with regulations in a timely manner.
Processing patient information appropriately.
Supporting the Responsible Pharmacist in the daily operations of the Pharmacist.
Being the first point of contact for any queries to the Pharmacy.
Maintaining relevant records for the supply of CMBP.
Ensuring relationships with importers are maintained to provide a timely delivery of CMBP to patients.
Maintaining stock and security of any CMBP on site.
Maintaining communication of prescription to the Department of Health to meet Regulatory Requirements.
Supporting governance in the Pharmacy to ensure the pharmacy is operating as safely as possible.
Skills, Experience, and Qualification:
A UK qualified, registered Pharmacy Technician with a valid GPhC Number.
BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences
Ideally Undertaken CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational programme. Through this will be provided for the successful candidate
Self-motivated individual with high levels of attention to detail, able to work accurately, identifying errors quickly and easily
Experience in working in the pharmacy dispensary either primary and/or secondary environment
Has attention to detail, Patience and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations
Excellence in communication skills with staff, patients and other healthcare professionals.
Professional, ethical and committed to providing excellent customer care
Excellent computer literacy with good working knowledge of office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
