Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician to join the Adult Emergency Department Pharmacy team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. You will develop your professional and clinical skills and provide safe medicines care in a busy ED environment.

The role includes medicines reconciliation, high-cost drug management, and supporting the dispensary and wards as part of a wide rota. You will help run the workflow and mentor new staff in a forward-thinking department.

Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC registration and CPD evidence.
  • Experience in a clinical, patient-facing environment.
  • Desirable accreditation as Assessing or Coaching.
  • Experience supporting training and teaching others.

Responsibilities

  • As a Pharmacy team member, provide safe, efficient pharmacy support in Emergency Department.
  • Carry out medicines reconciliation and manage high-cost drugs in ED.
  • Support dispensary and ward-based pharmaceutical services across the trust with rota.
  • Assist in running and organizing workflow and mentor new staff.

We are recruiting for an exciting new opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the Adult Emergency Department Pharmacy team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

Main duties of the job
  • As a member of the Pharmacy team, you will provide safe and efficient pharmacy support to the Emergency Department within the Bristol Royal Infirmary. You will develop your existing professional, technical and clinical skills through your own continuing professional development to provide a service of excellence to both patients and staff alike.
  • This role includes completion of medicines reconciliation and management of high cost drugs within the Emergency Department
  • Providing pharmaceutical support to the dispensary and the wards within the trust as part of a wider late and weekend rota
  • Be involved in the running and organisation of the workflow and participate in the training/mentorship of new staff and help to embrace change within the department.
