This role is a full-time Pharmacy Technician position within a secure environment, with an annual salary up to £40,211 per year (depending on experience). Offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks. A Legal right to work in the UK is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration the need to maintain a high level of security at all times.
- Work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison services needs.
- Promote safe patient care.
- Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work within a busy environment and unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
- Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
