We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Five Wells, a category C prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

The prison has its own pharmacy on site with 7 wings, each with a medical admin.

The site currently offers shift times of 7am-7.15pm on weekdays and 8am-5.30pm on weekends.

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the provision and delivery of a safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, maintaining security at all times.
  • Working within the healthcare department with direct patient contact, as part of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison's needs.
  • Promoting safe patient care.
  • Developing and applying new skills to enhance clinical service delivery.
