A healthcare organization in Peterborough seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with medicines reconciliation and medication reviews. The ideal candidate will have a BTEC/NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical and professional registration with the GPhC. This role is vital for ensuring safe and effective medication use in a supportive healthcare environment.
Lakeside Healthcare is continuing to expand its team of Pharmacy Technicians across the organisation and its Primary Care Network member practices. We aim to build the largest Pharmacy Technician workforce in General Practice. We value the contribution that Pharmacy Technicians make within our multi-disciplinary teams, and we aim to continue to safely push the boundaries in-order to develop the Pharmacy Technician role.
Your role will be to predominately support our Pharmacists with Medicines Reconciliation and Medication Reviews. This is an innovative role to work within the Lakeside Healthcare Pharmacy team to ensure safe and effective use of medicines for patients within Lakeside Healthcare. As a starting point the role will initially focus on medicines reconciliation from clinic and discharge letters, and will develop further as the role of the Pharmacy team expands within the organisation. It is vital that effective systems and procedures are in place to ensure that this process is effective, safe and efficient. The right candidate will be involved in day to day management of this with regular and thorough reviews of all medications. The process also ensures that patients receive the appropriate monitoring necessary for the medication they are prescribed.
