Pharmacy Technician

30,000 DOE

Permanent

Nottingham

30 Hours per week (x4 days) Monday - Sunday Flexible

We're looking for a motivated and detail-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our clients innovative and forward-thinking pharmacy team. This non-patient-facing role is central to driving medicines optimisation, quality improvement, and education support within urgent primary care services.

Working alongside the Lead Clinical Pharmacist and a range of multidisciplinary teams, you'll help shape and deliver safe, effective, and value-based use of medicines across their services.

Role Requirements:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of medicines optimisation initiatives
  • Leading day-to-day medicines stock control and procurement
  • Contributing to and conducting medicine safety audits
  • Helping develop protocols, SOPs, and quality improvement processes
  • Delivering and supporting training and induction programmes for staff
  • Ensuring compliance with MHRA, GPhC, and national guidance
  • Supporting controlled drug governance, discrepancy resolution and safe disposal

Skills and Experience required

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (GPhC) with NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • 2+ years' experience in a pharmacy technician role
  • Strong knowledge of stock management, medicine safety, and audit processes
  • Confident using IT systems and digital tools (Excel, SharePoint, SystmOne, ePACT2, PrescQIPP - a plus)
  • Great communication, organisation, and time-management skills
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating effectively
  • Passion for quality improvement, education, and medicines optimisation
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
