HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prison in the UK, housing over 1,500 men. The Pharmacy Team consists of 10 Pharmacy Techs, 2 Pharmacy Assistants. There are 3 main houseblocks which have two dispensaries to work out of and three smaller units with one dispensary.

Hours

This role is permanent based on 19 hours per week role covering weekends only.
  • Sat - 7.30am - 5.30pm - 9.5hrs
  • Sun - 7.30am - 5.30pm - 9.5hrs

Salary

This position is part time,youll receive an annual salary between £28,247 - £32,346per annumFTE, the salary will be pro-rota.

Main duties of the job

As aPharmacy Technician,your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
  • You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
