Job summary

Well is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to lead the dispensary operations, manage stock, and provide expert healthcare advice at the counter. You will support sales, handle cash transactions, and act as the first point of contact for customers, including high-volume dispensing for local care homes.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, GPhC registration, and a current DBS/PVG check.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services required.
• GPhC registration required.
• DBS/PVG clearance at start date.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibility

Your main responsibilities as Pharmacy Technician will be to lead and organise the smooth running of the dispensary and co-ordinate dispensing medication effectively and safely, managing stock levels and be another expert for our customers to talk to, providing healthcare advice and services at the counter. You’ll also assist with sales and general store duties including product displays and cash transactions. As every day is different, you could find yourself getting involved with everything from acting as the first point of contact for customers, managing high volume dispensing transactions for local care homes to dealing with operational queries from GP surgeries.

The Ideal Candidate

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be friendly and organised with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Building relationships with your customers is key and you’ll play an important part in meeting their unique healthcare needs.You should also have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services and GPhC registration.All successful applicants to this role are required to have an up to date DBS/PVG before their start dates.
