Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is representing a GP practice in Maidstone seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on medicines optimisation, patient safety, and high-quality prescribing within primary care.

You will work with GPs, Clinical Pharmacists and nurses, supporting prescription processes, medication reviews and queries, while developing skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Support repeat prescription management for the practice.
• Process prescription requests and flag issues.
• Conduct structured medication reviews within competency.
• Support medicines reconciliation post-hospital discharge and new registrations.
• Identify medication-related problems and escalate as needed.
• Assist patients with medication queries.
• Liaise with community pharmacies and other healthcare professionals.
• Support medicines optimisation and cost-effective prescribing.
• Help improve prescribing safety and quality.
• Assist with audits and clinical searches.
• Maintain accurate medication records.
• Collaborate with GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Nurses and MDT.

Pharmacy Technician – GP Practice

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join a well-established and forward-thinking GP practice in Maidstone.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician looking to develop their career within primary care and become an integral part of a supportive multidisciplinary clinical team.

The successful candidate will work closely with GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses and the wider practice team, helping to improve medicines optimisation, patient safety and the overall quality of prescribing across the practice.

The Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the practice with the safe and effective use of medicines.

Your responsibilities will include supporting prescription processes, conducting medication reviews, dealing with medication queries and helping patients to get the most from their medicines.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience within primary care, with support from an established clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

You will ideally have:
