Job description

Little Waltham & Great Notley Surgery is recruiting for a practice based pharmacy technician.

In this role you will be supporting and working alongside clinical pharmacists and other multidisciplinary team members to optimise patient medication use and improve outcomes.

Main duties of the job
  • managing prescriptions,
  • supporting medication reviews and reconciliations,
  • advising patients and healthcare professionals on medication-related queries,
  • promoting efficient prescribing processes while minimising medication wastage.
About us

We are a 2-site, friendly training practice with over 20,000 patients. You will be supported by our team of 10 doctors, 3 nurse practitioners, paramedic, nurses, healthcare assistants, receptionist and admin team.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • be a registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC;
  • hold a Diploma Level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent;
Experience
  • have strong experience in either a community pharmacy or a primary care setting;
  • be confident in analysing and presenting information to health professionals;
  • have experience of implementing and promoting cost-effective strategies;
  • have the ability to interpret complex clinical information and present it in suitable formats, to a variety of people from professional and non-professional backgrounds.
