We have an exciting position for a Pharmacy Technician to join HMP Huntercombe, a Category C men's prison, located near Nuffield in Oxfordshire.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop the medicines management service, enhance your clinical practice, and develop your leadership skills.

Hours

Monday to Friday: 07:45 - 17:30

Saturday & Sunday: 08:30 - 16:30

This position is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be working predominantly Monday to Friday and have the opportunity to work weekends.

Salary

You will receive an annual salary up to £33,454 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing safe and secure medicines management and reconciliation services to the agreed standards.
  • Managing prescriptions and interventions, providing face-to-face advice to patients.
  • Providing continuity of care to patients upon discharge.
  • Building strong relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Sharing information related to medicines optimization and drug regimes.
