Job summary

The Wellington Hospital in London is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team on a full-time basis. The role involves working across dispensary, procurement, stock control and medicines distribution to support patient care.

You will work under Senior Pharmacy staff, contribute to KPI targets and participate in ward top-up services across multiple sites including North, South and Platinum Medical Centre.

Qualifications

• Registration with GpHC (typo in source)
• Experience of working within a hospital environment (essential)
• NVQ3 in Pharmacy or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or an equivalent qualification

Responsibilities

• Work across core pharmacy operations including dispensary, procurement, stock control and medicines distribution
• Ward top-up services and medicines replenishment to ensure patient care
• Help meet department KPIs and support continuous development of the pharmacy service

**Role:** Pharmacy Technician **Location:** The Wellington Hospital, London**Hours:** Full-time, 37.5 hours week between Monday to Friday 09.00am-17.30pm with contribution to weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis **Contract Type:** This is a temporary role until October 2028 **Salary:** Competitive depending on experience with excellent benefits We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC. The Wellington covers a number of specialist units including ICU Gynaecology CCU/HDU, Cardia Treatment and digestive Health. Joining this team can give you experience and exposure to these different areas and experts within these fields. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will work closely with the technical team, under the guidance of Senior Pharmacy colleagues, to provide high quality, patient focused, operational pharmacy services which consistently meet the needs of all service users across the Wellington Hospital (North, South and Platinum Medical Centre sites) and affiliated services at Golder’s Green and Elstree Outpatient Centres. You will contribute to the day to day running of the Pharmacy and will report to the Senior Pharmacy Technician with support from Head Technician and/or Pharmacists. You will be responsible for working across all aspects of the core pharmacy operations, which may include dispensary, pharmacy procurement, stock control and management, medicines distribution and ward top-up services.
