Job description

As the largest independent provider of NHS services, Practice Plus Group is delivering a new model of Integrated Urgent Care that reduces pressures on services and staff. By bringing together NHS 111 call centres, clinical assessment, and other urgent care services, we enable patients to access the right care when they need it. It’s better for everyone.

Main duties of the job
  • Undertake medicine management audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Develop action plans from audit results and follow up actively.
  • Monitor, trend, risk assess, and review quality exception and error reports as part of the quality review process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in pharmacy procedures.
  • Visit bases weekly to replenish Morphine and manage stock control.
  • Conduct monthly prescribing analysis and provide feedback to clinicians.
  • Investigate medicine-related incidents, complaints, and professional feedback.
  • Assist with stock checks and pharmacist inductions.
  • Chair medicines management meetings and produce management bulletins.
  • Undertake core medicine management audits and review alerts.
  • Support CD ordering and receiving with Medical and Clinical Leads.
  • Create slides for quality assurance meetings and report as required.
About us

Essential: BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent; ongoing professional development; registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC; accuracy checking accreditation; broad medicines management experience; knowledge of clinical governance and medicines management.

Desirable: CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway or willingness to pursue.
