Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team in England. The role provides hands-on training to manage medicines, stock, and patient advice while progressing toward full registration with the GPhC.

You will work closely with pharmacists and the healthcare team, develop technical and customer service skills, and have opportunities for career progression within pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive and supply medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.

• Support day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including stock control and governance.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy support staff as you progress.
• Assist with training and development of new staff and learners.

Job description

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician., Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback Apprenticeship & qualification: Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level) On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Willingness to commit to the full length of the apprenticeship and working hours, GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course. For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
