Job summary

Well Pharmacy, part of Bestway Healthcare, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to lead the dispensary, coordinate dispensing, manage stock, and provide healthcare advice at the counter. You should have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent and GPhC registration; an up-to-date DBS/PVG is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services and GPhC registration.
• Up-to-date DBS/PVG before start date; if not on the Automatic Update Service, we will apply for DBS/PVG for you.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise the dispensary to ensure smooth operation and safe dispensing of medications.
• Coordinate dispensing and stock management to maintain adequate levels.
• Assist with sales and general store duties including product displays and cash transactions.
• Be the first point of contact for customers and provide healthcare advice at the counter.
• Handle high-volume dispensing transactions for local care homes and respond to GP surgery queries.

Main Responsibility

Your main responsibilities as Pharmacy Technician will be to lead and organise the smooth running of the dispensary and co-ordinate dispensing medication effectively and safely, managing stock levels and be another expert for our customers to talk to, providing healthcare advice and services at the counter. You’ll also assist with sales and general store duties including product displays and cash transactions. As every day is different, you could find yourself getting involved with everything from acting as the first point of contact for customers, managing high volume dispensing transactions for local care homes to dealing with operational queries from GP surgeries.

The Ideal Candidate

As aPharmacy Technician, you will be friendly and organised with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Building relationships with your customers is key and you’ll play an important part in meeting their unique healthcare needs.

You should also have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services and GPhC registration.

All successful applicants to this role are required to have an up to date DBS/PVG before their start dates. If you are not on the Automatic Update Service, we will apply for a DBS/PVG for you.
