An Integrated Care System in Cheltenham is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their team dedicated to patient care within primary care settings. This role involves patient-facing duties such as medication reviews and optimization, alongside responsibilities in public health initiatives. The successful candidate should possess a relevant qualification, have experience in pharmacy operations, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Cheltenham Peripheral Primary Care Network (CPPCN).
CPPCN comprises 5 practices on the outskirts of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire: Leckhampton, Sixways, Cleevelands, Stoke Road, and Winchcombe. Together, we serve 54,000 patients.
We are seeking a capable candidate to enhance our existing team of 5 Clinical Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy Technician. The role can be full-time at 37.5 hours per week or part-time with a minimum of 22.5 hours (3 days).
The Role
You will report to our Lead Clinical Pharmacist and will be required to travel between the 5 locations. Sharing your time across practices will enrich your work experience and development. We value the contribution of Pharmacy Technicians to patient care and offer flexibility to work from home when needed.
Training will be provided by our Lead Pharmacist and national bodies. You will have access to an active pharmacy network within Gloucestershire. The role involves enrolment onto the CPPE and NHS England Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway to develop your skills and knowledge further.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator, self-motivated, well-organized, and eager to be part of a progressive team. You should be able to advise patients, GPs, nurses, receptionists, and other healthcare professionals, including community pharmacists. Competence in IT (experience with TPP SystmOne is desirable but not essential) and readiness to use telephone and video consultations are required.
The 5 practices within CPPCN work closely under our Clinical Director. Our culture is friendly, and teamwork is strong. We see opportunities to develop services supporting GPs and patients, with pharmacy playing a key role.
This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A DBS check will be required to verify the absence of criminal convictions.
Salary: £28,000 to £34,000 per year, dependent on experience.
