A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their Clinical Pharmacy Team. You will play an important role in supporting the clinical pharmacists and ensuring effective medicine management in general practices and care homes. Ideal candidates should have relevant GCSEs, NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services, and communication skills. This role offers a chance to improve patient outcomes through efficient medication use.
Joiningour Clinical Pharmacy Team across General Practices and Care Homes in SurreyHeath and playing an important role complementing the clinical pharmacists andother members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Working under supervision of a clinicalpharmacist, undertaking resident/patient-facing activities and supporting theteam of clinical pharmacists to ensure effective and efficient use of medicineswithin care homes and general practice, through shared decision-makingconversations with residents/patients.
Initially focusing on supporting the Practice(s) and Primary Care Network (PCN) implementthe medicines optimisation requirements of the new Network Contract Direct EnhancedServices and other Practice and PCN responsibilities. As our plans for the PharmacyTechnician role mature, the focus of the role will expand accordingly to ensure effectivesupport to the clinical pharmacy team and to meet the needs of the practice(s) and thepopulation served.
A key focus will be supporting the GPs and clinical pharmacists in implementing effectivemedicine management in care homes and across the practices population, and identifyingareas for improvement and initiating and managing change.

We began in 2016 and now employ around 200 members of staff across our clinical and corporate support teams. Since 2019 we have hosted the Primary Care Network in Surrey Heath.
