Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Bank Pharmacy Support Worker (PSW) to join our pharmacy team. The post works alongside Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists to ensure medicines are provided safely and efficiently across the hospital, vaccination centre and NHS sites.

The role involves dispensing medicines, vaccine and ward support, stock management, date checking, cleaning and general administration. Training will lead to SVQ in Pharmacy Services (SCQF Level 6); time for training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have National 5 English, Mathematics and a science subject.
• Training provided toward SVQ in Pharmacy Services (SCQF Level 6).
• Right to work in the UK as per GOV.UK guidance.
• PVG Scheme required or update prior to offer.

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute medications and stock management.
• Dispensing medicines and vaccine service duties.
• Top up service to wards and other stock areas, date checking.
• Cleaning and administrative tasks including filing.
