NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde seeks a motivated individual for a full-time pharmacy support worker role at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Responsibilities include delivering Clinical Trial Pharmacy services and ensuring safe medicine supply. The position offers comprehensive on-the-job training and requires proficiency in general education and IT skills.

This is a full-time post of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am-5pm). We welcome applications from individuals interested in part-time work.
This is a fixed-term position for 7 months.
The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is one of the UK's largest acute hospitals, offering major specialist services such as renal medicine, transplantation, and vascular surgery, along with state-of-the-art Critical Care, Theatre, and Diagnostic Services. The adjacent Royal Hospital for Children has 244 paediatric beds and 12 neonatal beds, providing specialist services to Scotland and the wider UK, including being the sole provider of certain services in Scotland.
We seek a highly motivated individual to join our friendly pharmacy team in delivering Clinical Trial Pharmacy services, ensuring the safe and effective supply of medicines. The role involves working within the main pharmacy department and the Clinical Trials Research Facility, liaising closely with the multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will undertake an SVQ in Pharmacy Services Group Award (SCQF level 6), meeting GPhC requirements for pharmacy support staff training. They will also complete an 18-month comprehensive on-the-job training program to become fully proficient in the pharmacy support worker role.
The position is based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Children.
Proficiency in general education at National 5/Standard Grade level or above is essential.
Proficient IT skills, including typing, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and email systems (Outlook), are required.
Experience with stock control systems is desirable, along with the ability to plan and organize workloads to meet service demands.
Previous healthcare, pharmacy, or customer-facing experience is preferred.
