Pharmacy Support Worker Band 3

PERMANENT/FULL TIME

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Support Worker eager to develop new skills and broaden their experience within our pharmacy team supporting Prison Healthcare and GP Out of Hours Service. The role is based at the Health Centre at HMP Perth, with commitments at HMP Castle Huntly, HMP Bella CCU, and GP Out of Hours services in Dundee and Perth.

The main responsibilities include assisting with the processing and supply of medicines, participating in the control and distribution of medicines, and managing the ordering and invoicing of medicines. The post holder will ensure the quality of service and efficient management of all prescribed, non-prescribed, and sundry supplies.

Applicants must have an NVQ in Pharmacy Services Level 2 or an equivalent accredited qualification to meet the General Pharmaceutical Council's regulatory requirements.

You will be required to meet the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and adhere to the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
