You will set and encourage the achievement of standards of excellence in operational practice and lead the promotion of an open and accountable culture that enables high standards of service and quality improvement and organisational learning through collaborating across the Health Board. You will do this by promoting and role modelling the Health Board values and behaviours through strong, compassionate leadership and engagement.
The Pharmacy Services Manager is responsible for operational and performance management, service quality and planning, resource use and modernisation in the Pharmacy Clinical Service Group. As such they are responsible, along with the Director and Senior pharmacy colleagues for the leadership, direction and financial control of services in the Clinical Service Group, contributing to and ensuring the delivery of strategic and operational service objectives set by the Board and the Health Board Executives.
The Pharmacy Services Manager has responsibility for the Clinical Service Group management teams. This will include the management of staff involving recruitment, appraisal, CPD and performance. They will also be responsible for the line management of all services/departments within the Clinical Service Group.
Together with the Director and the senior pharmacy team, they will foster a culture which engages all staff in the development and delivery of the services.
