A healthcare facility is seeking a full-time Porter to manage medicine deliveries from the pharmacy to various wards. The ideal candidate must effectively communicate with staff and patients while working under pressure. Responsibilities include delivering medicines, processing returns, and documenting prescriptions. This role requires an individual who can manage workflow in a busy environment and is willing to undergo a DBS check.
Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week
To carry out a Portering function from the Pharmacy Department to all wards at The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation. The successful applicant will be delivering medicines, some of which require additional paperwork, and act as a Receptionist, dealing with staff and patients in the main Pharmacy Department.
We are looking for an individual who can work under pressure and communicate effectively with a variety of people including Patients, Pharmacy Staff, Doctors, Nurses, and other healthcare staff.
This role is demanding and requires the post holder to be on their feet all day, managing the Dispensary and Ward Based workflow, manning the hatches and phones.

Recruitment is based on competence and values. Applicants will need to pay for their DBS check, with costs deducted from their salary over three months. Enrolling in the DBS Update Service is encouraged, with an annual fee of £16.
