A community healthcare provider in Stockport is seeking a Production Technician to support the Pharmaceutical Production Unit. The role includes overseeing production processes, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice, and ensuring quality assurance. Ideal candidates should have strong communication skills and a commitment to work as part of a team. Flexibility and the ability to work extended hours occasionally are essential. This position does not involve patient contact and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
A Production Technician is required to carry out a range of duties as part of a busy team within the Pharmaceutical Production Unit. This can include the Aseptic, Sterile and Non-Sterile production units. All work is performed in a 'clean-room' environment, which requires changing into and working in specialised clothing and some confirmed areas.
Stockport Pharmaceuticals production unit supplies pharmaceutical 'specials' to hospitals throughout the National Health Service and to community pharmacies.
The Pharmacy Production Technician role is a graded as a agenda for change Band 4 position.
For those appointed at Band 3, the progression will be dependent on the demonstration of Band 4 criteria detailed in the Person Specification and completion of the training requirements.

You must have an interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing, good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to follow detailed instructions as there is a requirement to concentrate and work accurately.

You must possess good communication skills, be, committed, and work well within a team. You must be flexible in approach to duties, prepared to work reasonable extended hours if needed and capable of physical effort in order to move heavy boxes and equipment.
