Job Description

Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of patient care and commercial focus, requiring strong leadership with a passion for healthcare, patients, and business growth. This role is responsible for achieving pharmacy targets, managing the store pharmacist and pharmacy team, and supporting Asda Pharmacy's reputation as a leader in the industry.

Daily responsibilities include leading, coaching, and developing the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient care, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service in line with GPhC standards. You will also support the development of team members and locums to maintain professional standards and clinical governance.

You will have access to support from in-store, regional, and head office teams for clinical or service-related queries, ensuring you are well-supported in your role.

Week 1:

  • Monday 09:00 - 21:00
  • Tuesday 09:00 - 21:00
  • Thursday 09:00 - 21:00
  • Friday 09:00 - 21:00

Week 2:

  • Saturday 09:00 - 21:00

Candidate Profile

We seek a dedicated, qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC, experienced in delivering NHS and private healthcare services, and capable of balancing managerial and clinical responsibilities. The ideal candidate will inspire and motivate their team, handle challenging situations professionally, and maintain strong connections within the store and with field teams.

Applicants must possess a valid GPhC registration, right to work in the UK, and relevant safeguarding qualifications. A DBS check and enrollment in the update service are also required.
