Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Operations leader to supervise staff, manage performance, and drive financial success in the pharmacy department. You will ensure accurate dispensing, maintain inventory, and counsel patients on medications in a friendly, proactive manner.

You will also lead community-based outreach, support budget goals, and work closely with doctors and customers to deliver exceptional service across Canada.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail pharmacy.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven people management and coaching abilities.
• Excellent customer service and professionalism.
• Experience in community-based marketing and business development.
• Strong problem-solving and execution of action plans.
• Computing skills and familiarity with Healthwatch or KROLL systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead pharmacy staff with guidance and direction.
• Hire and manage staff performance and development.
• Ensure financial and operational success of the department.
• Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately for patients.
• Maintain adequate inventory of medications and OTC products.
• Counsel patients on new medications in a friendly, proactive manner.
• Educate customers through outreach and public health activities.
• Respond to patient and doctor requests promptly and positively.
• Review sales and net contribution; identify opportunities.
• Monitor costs across the Loblaw Pharmacy operations.
