Salary: Competitive + annual bonus.

About the role:

The Pharmacy Manager oversees activities within our Manchester Pharmacy branch, ensuring compliance with all legal and professional standards. Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy staff, training, development, and effective medication dispensing.

Requirements:
  • GPhC Registered Pharmacist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, or related field.
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy regulations (GPhC).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Leadership capabilities including mentoring, inspiring, and motivating team members.
Responsibilities:
  • Report pharmacy KPIs daily to the Superintendent Pharmacist, including Orders Completed, Orders not Completed, Issue Log, Returns, Productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with UK pharmacy regulations (GPhC).
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations: dispensing, inventory, quality control, health & safety, productivity.
  • Supervise pharmacy & support staff.
  • Provide training and guidance to adhere to SOPs.
  • Manage pharmacy branch security, including escalations and key holding (post-probation).
  • Control inventory to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to manage regulatory risks.
  • Support recruitment, including interviews and inductions.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of patient data.
  • Support disaster recovery plans for service continuity.
  • Manage daily sales order productivity and customer service levels.
  • Oversee staff resourcing during leave and absences.
