Job overview

We are seeking a full-time or part-time Band Audiologist or Clinical Scientist (Audiology) to join the paediatric audiology service at Oxford University Hospitals. This position is ideal for an Audiologist or Clinical Scientist aiming to enhance their paediatric audiology skills. The role involves assessing and habilitating children of all ages, including non-routine cases. Applicants interested in maintaining adult audiology skills are encouraged to apply, as there is flexibility in caseload.

Main duties of the job

• Conduct developmentally appropriate audiological assessments for children of all ages, including non-routine cases.
• Perform hearing aid fitting and verification.
• Participate in service development alongside Paediatric Audiology Team Leaders and the Head of Paediatric Audiology.
• Supervise colleagues in training, including junior audiologists and those on formal training programs such as degree apprenticeships and STP.
• Support ENT clinics with adult audiology work; additional adult audiology tasks may be available for interested candidates.

You should be an Audiologist with a BSc or PTP (or equivalent), or a Clinical Scientist (Audiology), and registered with HCPC or AHCS. Evidence of additional specialist training and experience in paediatric audiology within an NHS setting is advantageous.
